tried to do some work on my essay, only wii bocce was more fun.

then i went up to silver spring to have dinner with lauren and brandi.
lauren, brandi, mark, and i went to our usual italian spot.
i was pretty disappointed to find they took my meal off the menu.
i mean i had been dreaming about having that dish.
but at least there was still the bread and oil....mmm
.

first, though from the cold, mark had to climb out since the car door was frozen shut...

and of course there are the crayon masterpieces...

no penguins to pose with, but i did hop in with the trees...

we went over to go dancing at the brass monkey, only it was freezing cold out in dc. actual winter cold, not dc cold. so that meant there were literally only two people sitting at the bar and no one out to dance. so we went down the block to columbia station to see if there was live jazz. there were people there and we listened to some jazz. had blue drinks that could have been awesome, only were not mixed well. sad.

this was a great piece of graffiti. it reminded me of the sign off the freeway in minneapolis that plays on bad traffic and says "if you lived here you'd be home by now." anywho, it was the white house saying if you lived there you still wouldn't be able to vote. fantastic.
