buckingham palace

yesterday i paid a visit to the queen's palace. sadly she didn't make an appearance. buckingham palace is a far better deal than the white house--much cooler.

sadly, also, you can't take pictures until you go through and get to the garden. you get a headset, which meant i was able to take the tour without the interruption of the other tourists. fancy walls, ceilings, and art pieces. it was a nice place. expensive to visit, too, but apparently my ticket works for a year.

i then wandered through st. james park and through trafalgar square into the national gallery. saw some more great works of art before heading back to campus on the tube.

[climbing the lions was calling me, but because i was by myself, i didn't climb any statues. i'll have to go back--there's a lot to climb.]
