went a bit early but not super early, but there weren't many people lining the streets.
so we went to see the stuff at trafalgar square where they were having music.
got fun "deely boppers" shamrocks headbands
and went back to claim a good parade spot.
we watched a bit of bill and ted's excellent adventure to pass the time
it's been a long time since watching that film.
and like all of our other parade experiences, we get an annoying family next to us.
this time it was the mother who was ignoring the family and none of the adults felt like parenting.
awesome.
and then there was the lame parade. lame.
hardly any floats or bands or people doing anything
and no one was really labeled well to explain to me what the seemingly regular random people were for in the parade.
we then went to nandos for lunch.
and then to the v&a museum to walk around for a bit.
went from there via an obnoxious tube journey due to closed lines to capoeira.
had to go further out of the city to come back in but it worked.
had a good class.
needed a cord to wear my new uniform pants but luckily our maestre figured that out early on for both danny and myself.
practiced some kicks and dodges combinations.
and then played in the roda.
it was a small group.
played a few times in the roda which was good.
hard but good. need more practice.
then we went home for dinner. rachel made lasagna and a delicious dessert. mmm delicious.
we watched team america because apparently danny couldnt believe i hadnt seen it
and had a nice evening.
attempted to leave 5 minutes earlier to not have the bus issue of last week, but did have to wait a bit as i just missed one as we walked around the corner. boo. better make that 10 minutes earlier next time.
i'm really liking this sunday tradition that's forming.
good company, good food.
abner was disappointed that i didn't bring the stuff to make pancakes so those have been promised for this sunday.
