saturday.

went to the barnes fair in the morning. went to help out the scouts. watched the parade and then helped sell treats for a bit.
walked back since it was nice.
went to the library to get a book on the way home.
was planning to get some work done, but danny was having people do his experiment. so i went to hang out on the roof with him while brittany was there. then steph, kendall, brittany, danny and i hung out as they did the experiment.

brittany and i watched an episode of buffy and then went to meet carlos in covent garden for some free opera. we got there with plenty of time before the show so we walked around some of the shops. the opera performance was good. and was shorter than expected, so we caught the second half of the world cup match with abner, jonna, and danny. we walked over to where they were from covent garden and got some snog ice cream and chinese street food on the way. mmm.

after the match we all went on an amazingly wonderful loooooong walk through central. from soho through trafalgar and down to the thames. from the eye all the way down and around past the tower bridge, it was an unbelievably fun london evening. perfect temperature and fun company.
so great. it reminded me how like in dc even if you've seen the monuments in the day time, there's nothing quite like seeing them in dusk/the evening. it was a great reminder of being in the moment. regardless that 4 of us should have been home working if you really stopped to think about it, instead we were all enjoying the walk together.

of course that did mean that we ended up in super far away east london and brittany, carlos, and i had to take a loooong bus journey filled with 3 or so transfers to get home. which took a long time, but worth it for the evening.
