today's "special session" was about our amp1 essay. while we didn't get clarity about the topics, we did get a bit of useful information. and i think we managed to get the date of the 11th of january (as planned) instead of the 8th--which would be extremely helpful as i arrive in this country on the 8th. we'll see, maybe my plan of finishing early will come true.

but then somehow it turned into dissertation related topics, and once again my social perspective got shot down. and it wasn't just my interpretation of the situation. brittany noticed it and brought it up to me afterward. so at least i'm not over-interpreting. but that makes it worse. and makes me really angry about it. and i feel like taking a social perspective in this essay is going to make things harder too. he didn't even address me by name. just everyone else. and of course heralded jason's ideas. ugh, the frustration.
