the first class party

i meant to post about my first course meeting. by class, it was actually a party. but what blew my mind was that i had personal conversations with 2 of the biggest researchers in my field. and we weren't just discussing the field, instead we were talking about wisconsin, the midwest, and lightning bugs. that's insane.

this is the reason i am here.
to work with these allstars.
and they were there sitting amongst us students.
in the same circle.
all the same with our wine and chips and guac.
and talking about wisconsin.

absolutely amazing.
