i'm excited to have my computer back. i was even more excited last night to get the message that i could pick it up and not a status message. afraid i wouldn't be able to with the zoo that was the apple store at the shepherd's bush mall, i was glad to get it from the man who was excited that we shared a commonality (living in miami).
as he told me, i basically have a brand new computer. (they didn't update my operating system though) this means that i had to once again set up. taking care of the itunes problem i was facing, i spent a good chuck of today feeding the songs back into itunes and deleting the pesky duplicates that somehow appeared. sadly, i do not have any playlists.
i am thankful that my music and pictures/videos live on my external hard drive. but there was a lot of data lost. things like my calendar that i didn't even think about until this afternoon. a fresh start i suppose, but now i do not have birthdays preprogrammed or events scheduled.
and some of the other documents and whatnot. oh and the internet bookmarks. so if people have blogs and birthdays that are not listed on facebook, i no longer have any of that information.
and most importantly, i don't have the microsoft suite. i have an application to complete tomorrow so i might have to head to the library and deal with that madness (or still take over someone else's computer) to finish that.
while i'm complaining about this, at least i didn't need to purchase a new computer. and i'll try to focus on that.
