14dec: madrid, dia final

got up on time, and made it for the continental breakfast. but i'm not going to lie, i think churros and chocolate would have been way better.

so we checked out and saw that there was some snow on the cars outside.
then headed to the metro to go to the bull fighting museum.
metro was all good. i got us tickets in spanish and there just fine. coming out of the steps from the station, we couldn't miss the stadium. however, it was super cold and we could NOT find the museum.

i mean we walked around the large stadium up and down twice. we followed the signs, which got us nowhere. we attempted to walk through the random circus stuff and then still got nowhere. even the directions of the workers got us nowhere. and the other tourists looking for the same thing seemed to give up and disappear before we did.

so that was a bust, which through off our whole game plan. i would have gone back into the city to see something, but it would have been outdoors and it was cold. so we opted to go super early to the airport. score one again for me getting the correct airport metro tickets from the woman and even getting her assistance when mine didn't work. too bad my spanish skills were pretty much absent. i'm super disappointed about that. and also found out that i understand a latin accent FAR more than a spanish accent. that's just even harder.

so anyway, we spent a long time at the airport. had lunch. sat. went through security. went through duty free stores. sat. walked around. sat. i did more reading, but focusing was pretty hard. and it was just tiring sitting there waiting. so much airport waiting (just like now as i type this, ugh. boo.)

got our flight finally. and got the train back and then bus back to campus.
hung out with steph telling her about the trip and whatnot upon return. ate food from her freezer collection (which became my leftovers to eat this past week which meant i didn't have to cook but could eat delicious leftovers. amazing)
