got up early to go to the airport and fly back. checked in and went through security with alison before we had to separate ways. flew back and navigated my way to take the overground train to clapham junction. then took the bus back to campus. bus ride was an extended text conversation with classmates trying to determine where, when, and what we had for classes that day.
my ears hadn't fully popped still so i took a nap and then went to find the student union for sweatshirts with steph. who would have known that the union has a cafe (not really sure what if anything they serve) and is really then just an office. not really much of an option for sweatshirts, but i got a blue hoodie that may need to be shrunk a bit. then went to see if there was class because while we figured there wasn't i wanted to be sure. even david our lecturer was confused so that meant no class.
danny came to campus a bit later and we hung out until our seminar. given by a lady from spain about her phd work, it was about music education with preschoolers.
from that we spent a little bit of time at the library looking at some stats. fiona wanted to go over something. so emily, fiona, and i were working while carlos and danny played around. emily, carlos, danny and i then went to the bar for awhile. the uni really seems to encourage drinking - one pound beers and tequila doesn't seem to equate studying in my mind. but we had a nice time hanging out for a bit.
